About Us
The Support Measures for Invigorating the Learning of English (SMILE) Project, established under the Faculty of Education (the Faculty), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is comprised of a team of dedicated professionals with a mission to provide professional advice on possible support measures for enhancing the teaching and learning of English at schools in Hong Kong.
Mission
Our mission is to enhance the teaching and learning of English at schools in Hong Kong by providing professional
support to both teachers and students.
Objectives
To fulfill its mission, the SMILE Project aims to facilitate schools to:
- build up an English-rich environment
- design their own school-based English curriculum
- develop English teachers in their professionalism
