Introduction
- The Education Bureau (EDB) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region had commissioned a series of curriculum implementation studies since the 2009/10 school year to track the implementation progress of the Senior Secondary (SS) curriculum and assessment, and to identify issues of concerns in order to improve the relevant support for schools and students. The New Senior Secondary Curriculum Implementation Studies 2009/10 and 2011/12 were two of such studies.
- The Senior Secondary Curriculum Implementation Survey 2012/13 was the third one to continue to track the progress with special reference to the impact of the first SS curriculum and assessment cycle on whole-school curriculum planning, learning and teaching, student learning, and to identify issues of concern for improving support to schools.

- What are the on-going/changing needs and concerns of schools and their stakeholders, in the context of SS implementation?
- How are the support measures received by schools? How could they be adjusted to serve schools better?
- What is the impact of SS curriculum and assessment on secondary school students with reference to the expected learning outcomes?
- What are the impacts of the first 3-year SS curriculum and assessment cycle on schools in the 2012/13 school year, including changes (or proposed changes) in school policies, whole-school curriculum planning, KLA/subject curriculum planning, relevant classroom practices, and other relevant domains (e.g. OLE)?
