- I find the TALEs enlightening and very useful for my teacher practice. I learnt a lot of new idea which can be applied to the students I teach.
- Some daily logs and summary reports themselves are excellent presentations. I'm amazed at the creativity they have.
- Really enjoy writing every day even it's not easy to sit still for writing every morning and night. But it's a good start for me!
- Dr. Mak is very helpful and caring. She facilitates us to reflect and discuss and she tries her best to make the best arrangements for us.
- The facilitators are very knowledgeable and provided useful comments. Their facilitation stimulated our thinking, I still continued to think after the Institute.
- Enjoying the response groups; very constructive and inspiring sharing.
- Appreciated very much the opportunity to share the teaching experience of other teachers. Eye-opening and opening my world to the realm of creative writing.
- Extremely satisfied as I have met a lot of friendly and delicate teachers.

- Very good, particularly the coaching. Great to have a chance to talk one on one with such a renowned scholar
- Pat is wonderful, he gives me effective and constructive feedback and suggestion. The most important and precious thing that he gives me is freedom
- A kind of professional development between teachers from different schools. A good opportunity to exchange ideas
- Wonderful. I have found this stimulating and challenging as I see the holes in my own classroom teaching. I am more aware of the gaps in my students' learning
- Useful for me to brainstorm ideas and see if they can be implemented in my curriculum
- Eye-opening. Most of them are inspiring especially for me as a new teacher
- Generally good! I like the introduction of writing as a process, jigsaw puzzle, peer response groups, pics and cults, managing students' paper
- A good chance to enhance more interactive communication and gets to know the differences in writing style by hearing others read their writings

- It empowers me as a writer. I never expected that must praise from anybody. Now they keep calling me what you call it? – Poet and what I have been writing – Poems. I have never thought about myself and what I write as poetic. (From a teacher working as panel chairperson with over 24 years of teaching experience)
- The most valuable part of the Institute is the demonstration and presentation. The quality is excellent because the fellows are all experienced, dedicated and have had lessons field tested and proved to be successful. The facilitation, the questions, comments, websites, books, authors … are just what we need. … I’d recommend this (the Summer Institute) to school principals. (From a teacher working as curriculum development coordinator with over 27 years of teaching experience)
- An inspiring programme to stimulate teachers to write and give a chance to teachers to build up network. Wonderful! The only thing was not so good was the programme was too short. (From a teacher with 3 years of teaching experience)
- I really want to thank the Institute for bringing me back the joy of writing. The timing is fine. I know the schedule is tight as we have only two weeks. This is a very valuable experience to me and very fruitful for my teaching career. (From a teacher with 3 years of teaching experience)
- The Institute was organized in a professional manner with clear expectations on participants. The commitment and enthusiasm of participants were evident, which was an element contributing to the Institute’s success. The mixture of young and experienced teachers is a good one. Demonstrations were definitely stimulating and mostly of high quality. But more time, space needed for reading, writing other than the assignments and reflection. (From a teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience)
- Much appreciation to Greta and Deborah (the two facilitators). Barley (the director of the WrITE Project) was superb in her handling of the project as the coordinator! She provided a collegial and supportive environment for everyone. (From a teacher working as panel chairperson with 12 years of teaching experience
